Turre is dedicated to the Inmaculada Concepción and the Ermita de San Francisco. In matters of food, Turre cuisine is best known for its strongly-flavoured local stews, dishes such as migas with tropezones, gurullos, olla de trigo, pelotas, caracoles, fritailla and ajo colorao, and its varied selection of desserts.
One site well woth a visit is the old town, the ruins of the banks of the Ibero-Roman city of Cadima, on the banks of the Río Aguas. Here, two hundred years BC, was a bustling city that left many valuable remains in the form of ceramics and coins, many of which are exhibited in the Museo de Almería today.
Sierra Cabrera boasts an unequalled range of historic buildings in the ruins of two towns dating from 1570: Teresa and Cabrera. In Teresa a mosque/church with an impressive arch and vault remains, along with sections of two hydraulic mills, an aqueduct and many underground caves. In Cabrera there is the base of a tower, the walls of a mosque/church, two water deposits and much of the old walls othe town, together with the Cueva del Algarrobo and the old Araba settlements of Inox and el Tiján. Close to Agramasón are the remains of the Arab reservoir, and many other marvellous monuments such as La Carrasca, Los Moralicos, El Dondo, Cufría, Huerta Llana, Mófar and la Adelf
